Stablecoin finality across chains
Confirmation requirements for USDC and USDT on Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana.
What "finality" means
Finality is the point at which a transaction can no longer be reversed by a chain reorg. APT only marks a stablecoin payment as `confirmed` once finality thresholds are met.
Per-chain thresholds
- Ethereum (USDC, USDT) — 12 confirmations (~3 minutes).
- Polygon (USDC, USDT) — 128 confirmations (~5 minutes).
- Solana (USDC, USDT) — single slot finality with the "finalized" commitment level (~13 seconds).
